Showing Napoleonic influence, with large branched brass guard and rolled quillon terminal and distinctive pierced and scrolled thumb guard struck 37 with its scalloped leather washer intact. The wooden grip with brass ferrule and leather covering, retains its wire wrap. The well-wrought blade long, curved, single-edged and fullered. First or second quarter of the 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 85.5 cm / 33 1/2". Condition II
