The hilt embellished overall in thick gold inlay in floral motifs, the broad single-edged heirloom blade wrought of actively-grained wootz with fine gold-inlaid panel at each side of the forte en suite with the hilt, and further inlaid within a circular cartouche at the right forte in Devanagari characters, SHRI MAHARANA SHREE BHOPAL SINGH JI UDAIPUR (Honored Lord Bhopal Singh of Udaipur,) shows a period repair to the blade. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with gilded mounts. Blade 18th century, mounts 20th. Minor wear, gilding rubbed, Light wear to hilt, gilded mounts rubbed. Likely mounted for the Delhi Durbar Overall length 100 cm / 39 1/2". Condition II
