Title: Your majestyMedium: wood carvingYear: 2023 Artist BioOlukunle Adenle was born in Oyo State, Nigeria. Adenle is a creative and passionate visual artist with a bias for wood carving. He is known for his dynamic sculptural works which he applies to interrogate socio cultural interests. The passion for wood was cultivated during his teenage years and further horned when he opted to undertake his Industrial training at Universal Studios of Art, National theater Iganmu Lagos. He was mentored by myriads of different renowned sculptors, such as Bunmi Babatunde, Boma-joe-jime, and Ayanladun Ayandepo. He intermittently explores other mediums, such as metal, fiberglass and so on in mixed media approach.Olukunle Adenle studied sculpture at Yaba College of Technology, Yaba Lagos. He has featured in different workshops organized by Society of Nigerian Artists, Lagos chapter in 2019 (October Rain), he carved the aged craft (Gulder Ultimate Search) 2021, he had a collaborative art residency with Delphine Denereaz (versantsud) 2022. Adenle also participated in exhibitions such as Miniature Art Fair Lagos, 2021, Virtual Exhibitions Ambiguity (Art to Health), International FRESH SALAD Silo Ono virtual exhibition, Affordable Art Fair at Mydrim Art Gallery Lagos State 2023. Olukunle was responsible for producing a stunning high-quality book shelf for the University of Lagos @60, the shelf is currently located at the university main library. He was among the top 100 artist for LIMCAF art exhibition, also among the finalists Next of Kin series 6 art competition. Lagos
