A Composite Pikeman's Cuirass Mid-17th Century, Possibly English Comprising breast-plate with medial ridge and drawn-out to a point at the base above a short skirt, plain turns bordered by incised lines at the neck and arms, the skirt carrying a further rounded skirt secured by a keyhole piercing and staple on one side and by a pivot hook catch on the other, and rectangular tassets each with embossed simulated lames with brass-capped dome-headed rivets (worn), and turned recessed borders, the back-plate shaped to the back and with turned borders, flanged at the base and carrying a separate skirt embossed with a medial horizontal ridge, and secured by a central bolt with scroll-headed screw (old rust patination and pitting overall) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
