Item Details
Description
Vintage life-size Arizona Cardinals #24 baseball player paper mache store display. Where-as all other lots in this auction are fairly easy to ship, this is the one lot of the auction which is like the kid doing its own thing because this will need to be picked up in person or shipped by freight.

Judging by looking at the Arizona Cardinals uniforms I believe this is the type of uniform used in the 1960s, perhaps 1964 world series or at least pretty darn close to it. This stands approximately 57" tall, 34" wide and approximately 32" in depth from his butt to the rim of the hat. This has a triangular metal base and I also believe metal bars go up his legs. As mentioned he's made of all paper mache in which is over foam in some places. I am able to tell you that there is foam underneath because the glove falls off and he is missing his right ring finger. He is in no way perfect but a pretty cool piece and which does show its age with some paint chipping, a couple of punctures and rough edges. The back of his neck has a small crack as well as both ankles and it also looks like his rim of the hat has been repaired.

This guy is certainly an eye catcher and can certainly catch you off guard. I swear, even though he does not move and not mechanical, no mater where I had put him in my place, either I or someone forgets he is there and makes you jump when you don't expect it.

I could not resist putting this in the auction since I listed approximately 100 cards which I am selling for my mom in which my dad (Bob Courtney, 1944-2016 of Bob Courtney auctions) had left in his collection. All being sold in this online sale at no reserve. I am listing these from oldest to newest, with the newest one being from 1960, please see lots #22 - 122. All of the cards have not been graded by the card professionals and I will leave it up to you all, hobbyist and collectors, to determine the grading on the cards.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have or request any particular photos.
All lots within this sale all start at $25 or under with approximately 98% at no reserves. I do not usually list smalls like these items because of the time to do so. I just happened to be the nice guy and went above and beyond to help a few locals with their estate items because they did not know where to go to move an entire estate of stuff. This sale is 98% easily shippable items with baseball cards, some toys, gold to sterling jewelry, sterling and silver plate flatware and other useful items, some nick knacks, primitive items and few tools. I am hoping that someone may have use for all these items which I have listed because it is a lot of work to put an auction together in this format. Plus, I believe I have listed most at great starting prices.
Please make sure to view all the other items and check back when the sale gets closer to going live because I am known to lower prices the last week of preview.

I have been told by liveauctioneers that in order to have my auction show up on the 1st pages of local auctions that the auction needs to have a lot of interest and or a lot of bids. Please help by sharing my auction with friends and family.
Thank you for viewing and hope to have you as a new member of the Courtney Auctions family. Sincerely, Thomas P. Courtney.

Condition
Good condition for his age and material. Although there are some issues as noted above, he is still all together and structurally fairly sturdy.
