Two items signed by Paul Tibbets and Charles Sweeney, pilots of the Enola Gay and Bockscar bombers. Totaling four signatures in all, two from Sweeney and two from Tibbets. Features varying degrees of general creasing and toning throughout. Overall, very good. Please see accompanying images for further information on contents.

The lot includes:

1.) Modern, black and white photograph depicting Tibbets and Sweeney in the moments before Bockscar took off for the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. Signed by Sweeney (left): "Major Charles Sweeney A/C Bockscar Nagasaki 9 Aug '45" and Tibbets (right): "Paul Tibbets, C.O. 509th Composite GP." 8" x 10".

2.) Uncut stamp sheet commemorating the 40th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bombs, issued 1995. Signed by the two pilots as "Charles W. Sweeney" and "Paul Tibbets, Pilot". 8.25" x 10.5".
