This is a thangka made of embroidery and brocade. This thangka has Padmasambhava embroidered on it. Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, is considered the second Buddha of Tibetan Buddhism and an important figure in its history. He came to Tibet in the 8th century at the invitation of King Trisong Detsen and played a key role in establishing Buddhism in the region. Padmasambhava is known for his mystical powers, transforming local spirits and demons into protectors of the Dharma, and founding the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet, Samye. His teachings and practices form the basis of Nyingma, the oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism, and he is revered as the protector of all practitioners.
