6th-8th century A.D. Piriform in plan and plano-convex in section with raised vertical rib for the nose, two scaphoid eyes, remains of D-shaped lateral ears. Cf. West, S., A Corpus of Anglo-Saxon Finds From Suffolk, East Anglian Archaeology 84, Ipswich, 1998, pl.22(17). 6.85 grams, 22 mm (7/8 in.).
