Paul Geissler's prints and etchings capture a moment in time, a reflection of the scenery, people and landmarks he experienced in major cities around the globe. He was born in Germany and studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Erfurt and the School of Arts in Weimar. His love for painting soon transitioned into a passion for etching, for which he is best known. He spent a large amount of time in the United States and Europe during the 1920s and 1930s, recording the everyday scenes of such places as New York, Berlin and Washington D.C.
