Beck's fifth studio album featured the singles "Where It's At", "Devils Haircut", and "The New Pollution". The album reached #16 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and performed well in many other countries also. It picked up a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year and won for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. By 1998 it was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for two million sold.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 1997 making it about 26 years old. It This award is presented to a former marketing and promotion executive who worked at EMI Capitol Records. Their name has been obscured in the photos only for privacy.

This award in Excellent condition with only minor wear on the frame and a few mars on the plexiglass. It is all original with Jewel Box Frames manufacturer sticker.

These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear.
