Approximately 6 x 6 ½”. On one side is a portrait of Nelson surrounded with the legend, “England Expects That Every Man Will Do His Duty”; the other side has a poem: “In deaths terrific icy arms, The brave illustrious Nelson Lies; He’s free from care and wars alarms, See s [sic] not our tears nor hears our sighs…” Minor occasional soiling, else fine. A beautiful commemorative jug manufactured shortly after the news of the great Admiral’s death at Trafalgar.
