A Victorian era, likely french, of a Globe De Mariee keepsake with tripartite bird etched mirrors, grapevine & leaf foliate flourishes throughout, with a velvet cushion. Brides in France and Belgium received these at the start of their marriage and slowly filled them with keepsakes through the years. No dome present and some loss as shown to gilt, cushion, etc., but presents well no two are alike. Roughly 18" in height with a wooden base of 14" x 9"
