Description
Multi-metal, double-mounted, silver, brass and nickel Southern California spurs with 12-point rowels, vaquero heel chains, and two-piece leathers adorned with large domed and scalloped Visalia style engraved silver concho. The band is 1", the shanks 2 1/8" and the rowels are 1 3/4". Excellent condition, circa 1930s. A similar pair is shown on page 175 of California Bit and Spur: A History and Development by Lou Kosloff. Provenance: Ex Ron & Linda Gillett Collection
