MASAKI YOSHIDA (1947 - 2019) He had planned to make many works in the "Wings of the Wind" series, but unfortunately, this was his Posthumous work and the only work of this series. Butterflies were one of the his favorite subjects. He had continued to create as a woodblock print artist for many years, and his warm style was loved by many fans, but unfortunately he passed away suddenly in January of 2019. Mr. Yoshida apparently took photographs of butterflies and birds himself to serve as models for making woodblocks. He traveled not only within Japan but also overseas in search of rare ones. He successfully photographed ones that are rarely seen, from familiar butterflies to various types of birds. Various types of butterflies and birds were accurately and meticulously rendered, and he made them sparkled on the papers.
