Description
RIFLE. Cal. 270 Win. S# 212686. Bbl. 22" round light contour w/o sights. Top is marked "AL & ROGER BIESEN GUNMAKERS SPOKANE, WN". Pre-64 model 70 action. Features include custom bottom metal w/ release in trigger guard bow, checkered bolt release, & 3 panel checkering on bolt handle. Bolt body, extractor, feed rail & follower have fine machine jeweling. Muzzle has double gold bands & additional inlaid gold wire highlights found on floorplate, bolt knob, scope rings along w/ skeleton steel grip cap & buttplate. Classic style cheekpiece sporter stock of fancy thinshell walnut having vivid dark streaking. Wrist of stock & forearm have wraparound fleur-de-lis borderless hand checkering. Additional checkering is found within the skeleton steel buttplate & grip cap. Additional stock features include contrasting black forearm tip & inletted rear swivel base, front swivel base is bbl. mounted. This beautiful rifle is complimented by a Leopold Century Limited Edition 3-9 x40 gloss finished scope w/ duplex reticle. CONDITION: near excellent as customized. Stock shows a few very minor scratches. Bright near excellent bore. Scope has bright optics. PROVENANCE: Spectacular example from the William Blount Collection of extraordinary Marlins. (24-1815/DS).
