Action has full coverage deep relief game scene engraving featuring pointing dogs on the left side, bugling stag and heine on the right side, w/ buck & doe deer on top. Scenes have stippled backgrounds & are surrounded by ornate foliate engraving that extends to the underlever & forearm iron. Breech end of the bbl. is highlighted w/ a wide border engraving. Toeline of the stock is fitted w/ a steel cartridge trap that has complementing engraving featuring Capercaillies. Schnable-tipped splinter forearm & pistol grip walnut stock w/ European cheekpiece. Features include point pattern hand checkering, a fluted horn grip cap, & sling swivel in the toeline. Front swivel is bbl. mounted. LOP: 13 5/8" over a replacement checkered steel buttplate.
