Cal. 65. NSN. Bbl. 12 1/2". Ottoman style flintlock pistol produced by an unknown maker. Lockplate is unmarked aside from some light decorative border engraving. Wood stock features decorative stamped brass plates that are embellished with blue and red plastic inlays. Bbl. and forward end of stock are wrapped in decorative stamped silver wrapping, with matching red and blue inlays. Lockplate, swan neck cock,bbl., and trigger are comprised of iron, with the butt, trigger guard, and sideplate being comprised of brass. CONDITION: iron components are good, having been cleaned at one time and exhibiting scattered areas of mild pitting overall. Action holds on cock, half cock, and functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Brass and silver components exhibit a pleasing mellow patina overall.
