Cal. 44. S# 14332. Bbl. 8" w/ blade sight. Six shot round rebated roll engraved cyl. Action is cut for shoulder stock attachment. Brass trigger guard. 1 Piece walnut grips. Inspector's initials "H" & "T" are found on the bbl. & cyl. respectively. Bbl., frame, grip straps & cyl. have matching numbers. Wedge has non-matching number "002". Mfg. 1862 during the American Civil War. CONDITION: metal has cleaned gray appearance showing some light pitting w/ series of small dents on right bbl. flat. Cyl. retains 30% visible scene. Grips have an age darkened appearance showing heavy wear w/ chips & dents at butt. Action shows light wear, trigger pull is very light. Lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling. (01-24479/DS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
