Description
Cal. 45-70. S# 15018. Bbl. 24" round w/ Springfield VP proof mark on left side. Pinned blade front sight w/ Springfield graduated leaf rear sight. Winchester marked action has safety on right side w/ mag. cutoff on left. Tubular mag. located in the stock. Bolt, receiver & buttplate have "HN" inspector initials. Band fastened walnut stock w/ hinged door nickel finished forearm tip & steel carbine buttplate having saddle ring on left side. CONDITION: bbl. & action finish is faded to brown showing some small dents w/ red corrosion on forward portion of bbl. Stock has age darkened worn appearance showing various dents, scratches & marks w/ a crack along right side of action. Forearm tip retains 60% nickel. Bore is pitted w/ worn rifling. (01-24804/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
