Tibet. 1880-1920. Impressive and heavy Buddha Statue from Tibetan lamaism. 3.8 Kg. – 34x24x13 cm. This rare Avalokite?vara / Kuan Yin Statue holding an object in each arm and it has a special patina with gold-coloured parts around the head; an extremely fine example of metalworking make this statue an unique piece. It is also called Jun-tei Kannon, one of the least common forms, depicted as a seated figure with 18 arms, sometimes associated with the Indian goddess Chunti (mother of 700,000 Buddha). A museum piece.
