Description: Black lacquer ground decorated with hiramaki-e and togadashi maki-e and various pigments with what appears to be a Japanese green pheasant on the barrel, and rocks and plants on the cap, signed by maki-e master Kyoshu Kawaguchi. Gold-plated R-type Pilot clip, captop and endpiece devices, peaked black cabochons. Lever-filler. 133mm. #4 14K gold Pilot heart-vent nib, nice flex. Very good condition, a few small brassing specks to clip, some rubbing to pen with bits of maki-e loss.***********************
