Minton Parian John Bell Model of Dorothea, England, 1851
Fine bisque porcelain sculpture. The seated figure is modeled with a satchel and shoes by her feet, Impressed and raised marks. Parian ware is a type of biscuit porcelain imitating marble. It was developed around 1845 by the Staffordshire pottery manufacturer Mintons.
