[TRAVEL - WINTER OLYMPICS]. ALO (HALLO, Charles), artist. Chamonix Mont-Blanc / Sports d'Hiver à l'occasion de la VIIIe Olympiade / 25 Janvier-5 Fevrier 1924. Paris: Cornille & Serre, 1924.
42 x 30 1/2 in. (sight), framed, 47 x 35 1/2 in. (toning, 2 hole punches and some chipping to right margin, unexamined outside frame).
One of five "official" posters produced for the winter games held in Chamonix in 1924, which were recognized one year later as the first winter Olympic Games. Published by the PLM Railway, the posters were issued with text variants, sometimes promoting winter activities in the area and sometimes promoting the Olympic Games.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
