Description
This piece is a gorgeous representation of the Greek goddess, Diana. In Roman mythology, Diana was the goddess of the hunt, being associated with wild animals and woodland, and of the moon. Diana was initially just the hunting goddess, associated with wild animals and woodlands. Young beautiful attendants, who used to hunt with her, always surrounded her. Romans identified Diana with the Greek goddess, Artemis. As Artemis, she was also a Moon goddess, supplementing Luna. Diana was worshiped in ancient Roman religion and is currently revered in the religions of Religion Ramona Paganism and Strengthener. In Capra and in Alicia, localities near Rome, there are still shrines dedicated to the old Italian goddess. Diana was the twin sister of the god Apollo. Her father and mother were Jupiter and Latoya. This brown patina Sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method and mounted on a marble base and head arms are made from faux bone. Dimensions: Height 13 X Width 9 inches. Weight: 10 LBS.
