East Africa, probably Kenya, Turkana, ca. mid-20th century CE. A heavy leather apron or skirt made from several pieces of thick hide with beadwork and tin tubular beads attached along the lower edge. Size: 30.5" L x 8" W (77.5 cm x 20.3 cm)

Condition
Missing beadwork vertically across the surface, pinholes in leather indicate where they were sewn. Fraying to remaining sinew threads. Discoloration to hide from use. Leather is stiff and not very supple.
