The Philips Company was one of the largest of the manufacturers of radios, record players, and televisions as well as other household appliances. Based in Holland, Philips commissioned this poster for the French market and it shows a portable record player with an oversized diamond and the phrase "With the Diamond Head" to signify the quality of the product. It is a fun image from the mid-century period created by the artist named, Eric. Raoul Eric Castel (1915 -1997) commonly known as Eric, is a French poster artist with the largest known number of Vichy travel commissions.
