Description
Kaasa Landaka Blanket, West Africa, Mid/Late 20th C. Sheep Wool. The woolen blankets, known as 'kaasa landaka', are woven materials used by the Fulbe of the Central Delta of the Niger River in Mali. The white blankets with black designs are made of six hand-woven plain weave strips, hand-sewn together selvedge to selvedge in two groups of three strips. Size: 4'3'' x 8'9'' (130 x 267 cm).
