Two amusing framed prints, comprising, Mr. Midnight's Animal Comedians. London, 1753. Engraving. Framed.; and GEORGE CRUIKSHANK. Games for Old and Young. London: 1880. framed. Light toning, not examined out of frames, sold as is.

Mr. Midnight's Animal Comedians was a troupe of trained monkeys and dogs exhibited in England during the 1750s. In the print offered here, they are seen acting out a staged siege, wearing fine clothes at a dinner table, and performing other humanlike or acrobatic feats.
