Description
A group of seven Victorian-era games and puzzles in original boxes, including, Monsieur Est Sur La Sellette. Paris: Narçon, late nineteenth century. 9 1/2 x 12 x 1 3/4 inches; 22 colored lithograph illustrated cards with green backings, and two cloth bags, one containing small printed square card, the other with round white and pink game tokens, and with a few associated added objects, all in the original printed and patterned paper covered card box's fitted interior. The box with soiling and wear, light soiling to the cards, the game pieces and cards not guaranteed complete; together with, two more boxed games, including Peter Coddle's Trip to New York and "The Rosets and Stars. Both in original boxes; and with four boxed picture cube puzzles, including Young Folk's Cube Puzzle Diamonds & Toads. Three in original boxes, one in a plain wood box that may be original. The original boxes are generally worn and soiled, the games are not guaranteed complete, the lot is sold as is.
