15" Single Globe Lens on Metal High Profile Body. An extremely scarce example of this obscure C. 1920's Lens from Phillips Red Hat Gasoline, a product of Northwestern Petroleum, Appleton, Wisconsin. Lens features the iconic Red Hat & Thunderbird graphics with unique Independent script. This lens is considered to be one of only two known examples to remain. CONDITION: Lens is in overall excellent condition showing brilliant colors throughout the red, white & black with no notable color wear. Lens shows some very minimal surface scratching but is not overly distracting as well as some very faint color wear in the white baking. The outer edge is very clean showing just a minimal amount of age and color wear along the lower. Lens is set with caulk in a new high profile metal body, which has been professionally painted in red and shows a blank lens on the backside.
