Description
I. This lot consists of a drawing on hand-painted paper in the style of the painter Henry Ossawa Tanner. He was an American painter who was a disciple of Thomas Eakins. He was the first African-American painter to receive international recognition. Tanner moved to Paris in 1891 to study, but remained residing there upon seeing his success in French artistic circles. Size in inches: 11 1/4 x 8 1/2
