American Rococo Revival Laminated Rosewood Center Table, mid-19th century of the body of work traditionally attributed to J. and J.W. Meeks, New York, the inset white marble top over a conforming pierced and laminated apron, intricately carved depicting leaves, grapes and scrolls, centered by a floral-carved cartouche, raised on cabriole legs adorned with foliate carving at the knees, ending in French toes beneath a graduated row of beads, the legs joined by gadrooned, foliate-carved pierced stretchers with a central fruit basket with drop finial below, h. 31", w. 46", d. 31".
