Römisches Kompositkapitell. Kaiserzeit, 1. - 2. Jh. n. Chr. H 33cm und mit Ständer 35,8cm, ø 30,2cm. Aus feinkristallinem, weißem Marmor. Im unteren Bereich des Kalathos Reihe von Akanthusblättern, darüber zwischen doppelten Caules an den Ecken je ein Krater, aus dem verschiedene Pflanzen sprießen. Die Abakusplatte ist vorne und seitlich konkav gewölbt und hinten gerade. In der unteren Hälfte große Fehlstellen, weitere kleinere Fehlstellen an den Caules sowie am Abakus, auf schönem Metallständer montiert. Provenienz: Ex Bonhams London Auktion 5. In the lower half of the kalathos frieze of acanthus leaves, in the upper part between double caules at the corners each a krater with different flowers. The abacus is concavely curved at the front and sides and straight at the back. With copy of the Bonhams catalogue from 2011! Large parts at the lower half of the kalathos and small fragments of the caules and the abacus are missing, mounted on a nice metal stand.
