Seltene Cizhou-Vase mit Kranichdekor. China, Song Dynastie, 12. Jh. H ca. 44cm, ø ca. 18cm. Steinzeug mit Engobendekor in Unterglasur-Schwarz. Hochovale, elegant proportionierte Vase mit leicht eingezogenem Hals und kleiner Mündung. Der feine, beigefarbene Scherben ist überzogen mit einem hellen Schlicker, auf dem die Dekoration in tiefem Manganbraun bis Schwarz ausgeführt ist. Das Hauptregister zeigt einen in den Wolken schwebenden Kranich zwischen stilisierten Wolken- und Kieferornamenten. Unterhalb ein umlaufendes Band mit Ranken und Wolkenornamenten, am Fuß vertikale Blattriefel. Mit TL- und Material-Analysen! Geringfügige Bestoßungen an der Mündung und minimale Glasurabplatzungen. Stoneware with engobe decoration in underglaze black. Tall oval vase with elegant proportions, slightly indented neck and small mouth. The fine, beige-coloured body is covered with a light slip, on which the decoration is executed in deep manganese brown to black. The main register shows a crane floating in the clouds between stylised cloud and pine ornamentation. Below is a band with tendrils and cloud ornamentation, and vertical leaf grooves at the foot.With TL and material analyses! Minor chips at the mouth and minimal glaze flaking.
