Description
A most unusual “Needlework Practice Piece” in which a young girl (most likely) learned how to make the various needlework stitches. There are 9 or 10 different kinds of stitches (I’m a guy, so I do not know their names!), and the piece is framed in a contemporary wooden frame. The piece measures 5 ½” square (sight) and the frame is 6 7/8” square. Very fine condition with no tears/holes, etc. Only a couple of small and light stains, mostly along the bottom border. A very unusual piece of 19th Century!
