This working duck decoy is nicely painted and has a long, sleek body. Unfortunately, I’m not sure exactly what species is represents: it could be one of several. But this bird has tiny glass-tack eyes and shows evidence on the bottom that it once had a ballast weight attached. Its paint is complete and there is no damage, only a few very minor paint scuffs, mostly on the back and a couple of very shallow splits on the bottom (see photo). It measures about 16” from beak to tail, 5” high at the head and about 5” wide. Help with species identification would be greatly appreciated.
