Grouping associated with Father and Son. Burial flag in wooden presentation case for Lester T. James (1917-1997). Dimensions: 24 in x 12 x 4 in. His son Senior Master Sergeant Charles L. James retired from the US Air Force January 1, 1998. Collection includes: 1) Best of Luck plaque presented to him by the 434th Civil Engineering Squadron, Grissom ARB, IN. on 1 January 1998. 2) US Air Force Visor Cap with nametag inside “James CL SSGT” Size 6-7/8. 3) Large folder containing Certificate of Retirement for SMS Charles L. James from US Air Force. Accompanied by Certificate of Appreciation from Commander in Chief Bill Clinton. Dimensions of folder: 12 in wide x 15 in tall. 4) Wooden display for SMSGT Charles L. James in recognition of his devotion and commitment to duty from the 434th CES Structures Shop. Tastefully arranged are his service ribbons flanked by the array of rank insignia, badge and plaque. Above the central display is a US Flag folded and encased. This is a very well-built display that also lights up. The case measures: 21 in wide at base, 17.5 in wide at display case, 24 in tall and 4.5 in deep. Please see photos for condition.
