Frontispiece, title page with engraved allegorical figures representing the continents, preface, index, introduction, atlas text, charts and maps, general index, approximately 300 pp. There is an engraving representing the continents with a color plate the "Flags of All Nations." Zell's Atlases were first issued in parts, and then published together as a complete volume beginning in 1873. Zell, a Quaker, was a publisher of Friend's religious works as well as atlases. He died in 1905. Excellent restored copy with original canvas dust cover (not found on most copies) in a gray linen box case with leather lettering piece.
