This heavy piece of sculpture which is made from industrial plaster sets a scene of two young lovers absorbed in the discovery and tenderness of exploring each other's bodies. We are given the pleasure that the embrace that may ignite a former passion through the experience of our observation might bring us all the way back to the present. The male and female anatomy are shaped in the classic Greek sculptural sensibility. I found this lovely piece at an antique shop near the outskirts of town in White Center, Seattle, WA.
