Larry Hagman (1931–2012) was an American actor best known for his iconic portrayal of J.R. Ewing on the long-running television series Dallas. A central figure in 1980s pop culture, Hagman became internationally recognized for his charismatic villainy and also starred in the classic sitcom I Dream of Jeannie. His career spanned more than five decades across film, television, and theater.
