This lot contains a substantial collection of vintage rubber stamps housed in two heavily worn cardboard boxes, one marked "INVINCIBLE WHITE OWL" and the other "PHILLIES." The stamps feature commercial and business inscriptions such as "SEARS, ROEBUCK AND CO.," "EAGLE SHOES," "C.O.D.," and "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY TO THE CREDIT OF." Included among this collection of vintage ephemera is a small tin from the Hay Rubber Stamp Co., located in Washington, D.C. (a place described in the ephemera). Also present is a stack of moderately worn "Old Maid" playing cards and a cased Melo-Tone 21 Holes Harmonica made in Japan. This collection represents various aspects of early 20th-century commercial and domestic life.
