This is a collection of vintage postcards and paper ephemera published primarily by Hunsberger & Son Co., Stroudsburg, Pa., circa 1910s-1920s. The group features commercial color lithographed views of the Pocono Mountains region of Pennsylvania. Locations depicted include the Grand Canyon of the Pocono, Witmer's Glen, Big Pocono, Henryville, Cresco (Olympic Hotel), Buck Hills (Lower Falls), and general wildlife scenes. Three postcards are used, bearing handwritten correspondence, affixed US postage stamps (1-cent and 2-cent issues), and postmarks, with one dated 1920, addressed to Mary Allegar in Bartonsville, Pa. The collection represents a variety of scenic and novelty views typical of early 20th-century regional travel ephemera.
