ABOUT THE ARTIST: Gavdzinsky Albin Stanislavovich – was born on the 4th of July, 1923 in the Bobrik village, Odessa region. He graduated from Odessa Art College in 1950. Mentors: Y. Timofeev, P. Parkhet, M. Pavlyuk. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1955. National Artist of Ukraine since 2004. Member of the Second World War. Participated in republican since 1952, all-Union since 1951, foreign since 1955 exhibitions. Personal took place in Odessa (1960, 1973, 1998, 2002-2003), Kherson (1961), Nova Kakhovka (1961, 2003), Illichivsk (Odessa region, 1986), Klaibersi (Canada, 1993), London (1999). Major works: “Kakhovsky port. The beginning of large construction” (1951), “Construction of the lock of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station” (1953), “Tug” (1968), “Knights of Labor” (1968), “Dreamers” (1971), “March” (1971), “Sednev” (1975), Kyiv. Khreshchatyk" (1981), "Gurzuf" (1991), and others. The works are stored in the Taras Shevchenko National Museum, Albin Gavdzinsky Art Gallery in Kakhovka, Odesa Art Museum, Mykolaiv Art Museum, Lviv Art Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, Olexander Pushkin Museum in St. Petersburg.
