ABOUT THE ARTIST: Chernyavsky Georgiy Georgievich – was born on 20th of April 1924 in the Dnipropetrovsk city. He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Art College and the Kyiv Art Institute. Mentors: Trokhimenko K., Shtilman I. Since 1951 he has participated in republican, all-Union, and foreign exhibitions. Personal exhibitions took place in Dnipropetrovsk (1958, 1967, 1970), Kyiv (1960, 1970). From 1955 until 1964, he worked as a mentor and director of the Dnipropetrovsk Art School. From 1958 until 1974, he was the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk organization of the Union of Artists of the USSR, and from 1974 until 1981 – the Secretary of the Board of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. From 1975 until 1978 he taught at the Kyiv Art Institute. Since 1969 – Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. National Artist of the Ukrainian SSR since 1976. In 1978 Laureate of T.
