1920s Solid Heavy Wood Carved Covered Box

Description

Heavy wood box with intricate carving all around each side and on the lid. Made from a single piece of wood and using the turning method for making. I am not certain of the species of wood. Hence the low asking price for such a beautiful work of art. Purchased in Morocco during the 80's from an antique shop.
Most likely used for storing tea or spices.
