In order for a basket to be serviceable and last a long time, the weaving work had to be done masterfully by skilled artisans. Only the finest examples are found today since the other ones did not survive. This antique decorative container has a rounded bottom so it wont stand by itself but it will make a darling decorative element in your boho or farmhouse style decor. The old Chinese shows a naturally oxidized patina showing discoloration and muted colors from long exposure to the elements.
