Oversize Gothic Architectural Wood frame. A Victorian-style pier mirror frame brings serious presence to a wall even without glass. The ebonized black finish, turned columns, and broken-arch pediment give it a strong silhouette designers love. No sure of the wood, its a medium weight, not a heavy hardwood. Which is a plus for hanging.
This type of frame originally would have held a hall or pier mirror in a late 19th-century interior. Today it works beautifully as a dramatic surround for a custom mirror, artwork panel, or even a wall-mounted sconce or planter for a layered, “found†look.

This is a genuine, previously used piece with heavy cosmetic wear that reads as character rather than perfection: scuffs, edge wear, and small dings to the later black paint, plus the missing center finial and absence of mirror glass.
