Barrel flats are stamped with Belgian nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chambers with date code "f" (1927). Case hardened sideplated boxlock action features square crossbolt third fastener, bushed strikers, side clips, Greener type side safety housed in left sideplate and double triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are engraved with near full coverage small scroll surrounding rose bouquets. Bottom of action is gold inlaid "ARISTO" "H. Maragopoulo". Steel trigger guard is engraved to match action. Well marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/8" over dark red leather covered pad and features very closely cut (probably 32 LPI) point pattern checkering and nicely shaped drop points. Sling loops are on toeline and on bottom of barrels. Long splinter ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .719. R .719. Restriction: L .032 (full). R .032 (full). Barrels retaining nearly all of a "best" re-black. Action and lockplates retain about 40% original case hardening color. Top lever and trigger guard re-blued. Stocks retain nearly all of a light oil refinish. Checkering meticulously re-cut. Bores are mostly bright and shiny with some very light pitting toward breech ends with evidence of dent removal in right barrel 14" from muzzle. Action is tight; ejectors strong and in time.
