Left side of action has a staple fastened saddle ring. Band fastened walnut forend & straight grip stock with trap door steel carbine buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter stating: Serial number applied on July 21, 1893, Type: Carbine, Caliber: 44, Received in warehaouse on September 22, 1893, Shipped from warehouse on September 23, 1893, Order number 91. CONDTION: 50% fading blue showing scattered handing marks and spots of light pitting. Sanded wood has a dark worn appearance showing handling marks with gaps around the tangs. Sound action. The bore is generally bright with sound rifling some some very light pitting. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of John "Jack" Dhooghe. (01-28227/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,000.
