Description
Cal. 44. S# 3201. Assembled gun with 26" round barrel with fake Henry markings, Briggs style magazine tube which loads from slot near frame Covered by sliding sleeve. The frame is not marked and has a round top like found on early 1866 Winchesters. The butt stock, buttplate, and buttplate screws our original and each numbered correctly "3201". If you have an early martial Henry, with replaced butt, this would be worth buying with correctly numbered stock, butt plate and perfectly timed screws.CONDITION: good to very good as configured, rear sling swivel, rear sight are reproductions. As noted serial number on barrel and Henry patent marking are modern. Stock is sound, refinished and varnished. Mechanics are fine, discernible thin rifling and bore. (25-1681/JS). MODERN. $600-800.
